Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Sciences, or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years of experience as an SAP Basis engineer in a service provider or advanced IT organization operating in a 24/7 environment.
- Solid background administering the SAP HANA database.
- Understanding of SAP security principles.
- Experience with configuration management and automation tools.
- Familiarity with agile engineering practices such as Kanban and continuous delivery.
- Experience with AWS and Azure service usage on commercial or government cloud.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Strong ownership bias.
- Deadline and detail-oriented.
- Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Ansible (preferred).
- Development experience with a high-level language like Python or Java (preferred).
- Experience with Sybase ASE (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Perform project-based and production support for SAP system migrations, landscape refreshes, and database backup and recovery.
- Manage HA configurations and ongoing SAP system maintenance, including performance management and patching.
- Determine best practices for future SAP landscapes in collaboration with internal teams.
- Document problem resolution actions, root cause analyses, and operational procedures.
- Drive continuous improvement in systems operations through collaboration with delivery and development teams.
- Execute defined project goals.
