Requirements
- 7+ years of professional software development experience.
- 7+ years of programming experience with Java, Kotlin, or TypeScript.
- 3+ years of professional experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, etc.).
- 1+ year of professional experience leveraging AI for productivity in complex SaaS environments.
- Proven experience developing, documenting, and supporting REST APIs.
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills for complex, vaguely defined tasks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated technical leadership experience.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to Smartsheet’s critically visible billing and subscription initiatives.
- Build scalable back-end services using Kotlin and Java.
- Solve distributed systems problems utilizing AWS and Kubernetes.
- Lead code reviews and architectural discussions with product managers and engineers.
- Mentor other engineers on code quality and industry best practices.
- Actively utilize and integrate AI tools into team processes, coding, and design.
