Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
- 2-4 years of hands-on HR generalist experience
- Working knowledge of HR compliance and employment law fundamentals
- Experience in implementing and building HR automations and systems
- Comfortable working in HRIS platforms
- Strong ability to research and apply new regulatory requirements
- Ability to operate independently with minimal oversight
- Exceptional verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven judgment in handling highly sensitive information
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Own the day-to-day administration of the employee lifecycle — onboarding, offboarding, employee file management, and benefits administration
- Partner with hiring managers on role-specific onboarding setup and manage the compliance side of bringing on new hires
- Research federal, state, and local employment law requirements, monitor systems for compliance, and draft policy and procedure changes
- Prepare and maintain HR documents including offer letters, employment contracts, and onboarding materials
- Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions, providing guidance on HR policies and resolving day-to-day issues
- Support employee engagement initiatives such as surveys, recognition programs, and team-building events
- Identify opportunities to streamline and document HR processes using AI tools
