Requirements
- 2–5 years of experience in Build/Release Engineering, DevOps, SRE, or software development.
- Strong proficiency with Git and CI/CD tooling like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
- Understanding of build and release fundamentals, Maven or Gradle, and the SDLC.
- Experience with artifact repositories like Artifactory or Nexus.
- Experience with Spinnaker or similar deployment orchestration platforms.
- Strong Linux and Unix command-line skills.
- Proficiency in scripting with Python and/or Bash.
- Working knowledge of containers and platforms, particularly Docker and Kubernetes.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent support requests in a remote environment.
- Comfortable working within the core schedule of 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Pacific Time.
Responsibilities
- Provide frontline technical support through Slack and ticketing channels.
- Triage build failures, broken CI/CD pipelines, dependency issues, and configuration errors.
- Diagnose complex build, packaging, artifact, and pipeline issues independently.
- Troubleshoot technologies including Maven, Java build systems, Docker, Artifactory, Jenkins, and Spinnaker.
- Conduct thorough technical analysis and provide complete logs/metadata for escalations.
- Create clear, actionable escalation tickets for downstream engineering teams.
- Maintain and improve internal documentation and knowledge bases for recurring issues.
- Monitor support patterns to identify opportunities for improved system reliability.
