Requirements
- 4+ years of professional software engineering experience with strong, current coding skills.
- 3+ years of professional platform engineering experience incorporating DevOps and SRE principles.
- Experience with distributed systems and infrastructure platforms (e.g., AWS, Kubernetes/EKS, kops, HashiCorp Vault, Grafana, GitHub Actions, PostgreSQL, Kafka/MSK, Redis/Valkey).
- Proven experience owning technical direction or people management.
- Strong understanding of modern microservice architectures.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools and workflows.
- Familiarity with Agile or Scrum development processes.
- Ability to balance strategic technical thinking with direct execution and hands-on coding.
- Strong coaching, mentoring, and leadership capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of 3–4 Site Reliability Engineers, managing hiring, performance, coaching, and career development.
- Serve as a hands-on contributor for infrastructure automation, tooling, and incident response.
- Own technical debt, architecture, and infrastructure modernization projects.
- Guide technical direction through system design, architectural decision-making, and code reviews.
- Improve observability, disaster recovery practices, and platform reliability.
- Partner with engineering leadership to evolve development processes like Agile or Scrum.
- Adopt and mentor the team on AI-assisted software development practices.
