Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a closely related field.
- At least 5 years of project management experience within engineering consulting, EPC construction, or renewable energy.
- Direct experience delivering high-voltage, substation, interconnection, or transmission infrastructure projects.
- Ability to interpret contract/proposal terms and communicate implications to technical teams.
- Proven ownership of project scope, schedule, budget, and invoicing.
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams and external subconsultants.
- Willingness to travel up to 15% for project sites, meetings, and team events.
- Valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record.
- PMP certification is preferred.
- Greenfield substation and utility-scale renewable energy experience preferred.
- Experience with design-build organizations is an advantage.
Responsibilities
- Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, deliverables, and invoicing from kickoff through closeout.
- Lead multiple concurrent substation and interconnection projects involving multidisciplinary scopes.
- Review and interpret contract and proposal language to guide delivery.
- Coordinate internal engineering resources and external subconsultants.
- Orchestrate collaboration between civil, electrical, power systems, and structural engineering disciplines.
- Manage submittals, RFIs, change requests, and project risks.
- Serve as primary client contact and lead project meetings.
- Mentor project staff and contribute insights to business development proposals.
