Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience managing patient referral and prescription activities or reimbursement services in infusion or specialty therapies.
- 1-3 years of experience providing customer service in a health care setting.
- Experience with electronic health medical record or pharmacy patient management systems.
- High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Proficient in medical or pharmacy terminology.
- Moderate skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel up to 5% of the time for business purposes.
Responsibilities
- Lead team toward common goals by providing support and guidance to PALs and Reimbursement Specialists.
- Monitor CareTend queues to ensure work is progressing efficiently.
- Escalate cases as needed to Intake Escalations Supervisor or management.
- Monitor and manage team productivity, service level agreements, and personnel performance.
- Build and maintain relationships with referral sources and field representatives.
- Serve as primary point of contact for referral sources, patients, and caregivers.
- Collect necessary data including demographic, insurance, clinical history, and prescription details.
- Coordinate with Reimbursement, Nurse Coordination, and Pharmacy Operations teams to ensure successful patient onboarding.
- Maintain accurate documentation in systems of record.
- Conduct periodic chart audits to ensure quality standards.
