- 3+ years of experience in admitting, patient registration, pre-registration, pre-certification, or patient accounting
- 2+ years of customer service experience
- Proficiency in EPIC (4+ years preferred)
- Experience with RTE technology and managing work queues
- Ability to perform professional, clinical, and technical competencies
- Strong knowledge of pre-certification and pre-registration processes
Responsibilities
- Perform the duties of a Pre-Registration/Pre-Certification Specialist
- Assist staff with RTE technology and EPIC issues
- Conduct training for new hires and provide ongoing staff development
- Serve as a subject matter expert for complex escalations and problem-solving
- Manage and identify complex insurance coverage issues
- Maintain the real-time authorization database
- Coordinate assignments and manage workflows when the supervisor is unavailable
