Requirements
- Advanced degree (MD, PhD, or PharmD) required.
- 10+ years of experience in Medical Affairs with a track record of country leadership.
- Strong background and expertise in oncology.
- Proven experience supporting oncology product launches in the Netherlands.
- Deep understanding of the local Dutch healthcare system, clinical practice, and regulatory environment.
- Proven value and benefit assessment experience with an understanding of Dutch payer decision-making.
- Proven leadership and people management capabilities in an entrepreneurial environment.
- Experience in a biotech company and/or in a company build-out phase.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to collaborate with internal and external partners.
- Scientific and solution-oriented mindset with the ability to navigate an ambiguous environment.
- Willingness to travel nationally and internationally.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute the local medical strategy for the Netherlands across the oncology portfolio.
- Translate global medical and clinical strategies into locally relevant plans aligned with Dutch regulations.
- Build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders, oncology networks, and academic institutions.
- Lead scientific exchange, advisory boards, and congress engagement at the country level.
- Collaborate with Market Access and Commercial teams to support value communication and reimbursement activities.
- Lead medical launch readiness for oncology products including training and field medical plans.
- Provide medical review and approval of non-promotional materials per local regulations.
- Build, lead, and develop the country medical affairs team as the organization grows.
