Requirements
- 1 to 3 years of experience in treasury operations, accounting, or banking.
- Hands-on experience with bank reconciliations.
- Solid knowledge of accounting principles and business concepts.
- Working appreciation of core financial accounting standards, policies, processes, and systems.
- Strong numeracy and analytical skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Strong work ethic and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholder demands while meeting deadlines.
- Comfort and proficiency using AI tools is a strong plus.
- Basic knowledge of cryptocurrency and blockchain is a bonus.
- Must be based in Latin America (LATAM) or Europe.
Responsibilities
- Allocate and record cash payments across accounts in accordance with internal accounting standards.
- Manage accounting completeness and reconciliation of transactions and related accounts.
- Create and park general ledger journals tied to bank statement transactions.
- Maintain relationships and accounting transactions for banking activity.
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations with appropriate supporting documentation.
- Own balance sheet general ledger accounts and their monthly reconciliation.
- Resolve historic queries related to cash.
- Report on performance and process KPIs for the department.
- Manage audit and tax queries by providing clear accounting documentation.
