Requirements
- Extensive experience managing US payroll (multi-state experience is non-negotiable).
- High proficiency in payroll systems, such as ADP WorkforceNow and Kronos/Ukg.
- Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, V-Lookups, Macros).
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Flawless English communication skills.
- Must be able to work 10:00 PM – 7:00 AM PHST.
- CPA or CPP certification is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor the junior payroll staff, ensuring their professional growth and the accuracy of their output.
- Manage the end-to-end payroll lifecycle for 15+ states, acting as the final point of escalation for complex tax and system issues.
- Mastermind the withholding, filing, and reconciliation for 15+ states, including SUTA/FUTA, FICA, and local tax nexus.
- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for ADP Workforce Now, ensuring seamless system integration and data integrity.
- Lead the registration of new state tax IDs and manage SUTA/FUTA/FICA compliance across a growing US footprint.
- Lead the response for all federal and state tax notices, garnishments, and year-end (W-2/W-3) reconciliations.
- Provide the C-suite with accurate and timely reports concerning audits, 401k, and trend reporting.
- Shift the payroll function from manual "zagging" to automated, scalable excellence.
