Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to move from ambiguous business problems to deployed solutions
- Proven track record of independently delivering complex software systems and business outcomes with minimal oversight
- Strong judgment in evaluating build-vs-buy decisions and identifying opportunities to leverage automation and AI
- Demonstrated ability to effectively leverage AI-assisted development tools in production environments
- Experience building and maintaining production web applications
- Comfortable working within modern application frameworks (e.g., Laravel or similar)
- Experience designing and implementing experimentation and A/B testing frameworks (e.g., PostHog or similar)
- Working knowledge of cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Cloudflare, or similar)
- Solid experience with relational databases, including writing and optimizing queries
- Proficiency with Git-based development workflows, code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployment
Responsibilities
- Apply AI-assisted development practices to rapidly prototype, validate, and ship production-ready solutions
- Identify opportunities across the business where software, automation, data, or AI can create meaningful operational, product, or revenue impact
- Own solutions end-to-end—from discovery and scoping through architecture, implementation, deployment, measurement, and ongoing iteration
- Collaborate directly with business stakeholders to understand problems, define solutions, communicate trade-offs, and measure outcomes
- Design, build, and maintain full-stack applications, backend services, automations, and internal tools that drive business value
- Contribute to architectural decisions, technical strategy, and long-term platform evolution
- Work directly with cloud infrastructure and edge platforms, including AWS and Cloudflare
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve system reliability, observability, performance, and operational excellence
- Conduct thoughtful code reviews, uphold high engineering standards, and mentor other engineers
- Continuously evaluate new technologies, AI capabilities, and development practices that can increase team effectiveness and engineering leverage
