Requirements
- BA/BS degree required; healthcare degree (MS, RN, PA, PharmD, PhD) strongly preferred.
- 3-4 years of experience in pharma/biotech within commercial, clinical/medical, or diagnostics.
- Excellent virtual presentation, communication, and influencing skills.
- Ability to effectively engage healthcare stakeholders through digital and remote platforms.
- Proficiency with CRM platforms, virtual meeting technologies, and digital engagement tools.
- Proven success working in high-performing, diverse teams.
- Experience collaborating with KOLs, labs, and internal/external stakeholders.
- Strong diagnostic and scientific acumen.
- Experience in virtual customer engagement, inside sales, clinical support, or medical education preferred.
- Prior experience in rare or ultra-rare diseases with strong patient focus preferred.
- Knowledge of ophthalmology strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Educate healthcare providers on genetic testing initiatives and sponsored testing programs.
- Identify educational needs among the IRD healthcare community.
- Provide information on high-quality gene analysis labs and accurate interpretation of results.
- Partner with cross-functional internal teams to support organizational goals.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of U.S. diagnostic strategy.
- Identify and engage Genetic Testing Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).
- Attend industry conferences to maintain diagnostic program knowledge.
- Provide expertise for IRD gene panels and test requisition forms.
