Requirements
- 7+ years of experience within an MEP design firm, mission-critical operator, or architectural environment.
- Strong mechanical engineering and data center design expertise.
- Proven ability to influence design decisions across a portfolio.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline; Master's degree preferred.
- Strong understanding of mission-critical design principles, resilience, and lifecycle performance.
- Strong project and program management skills including managing schedules, budgets, and consultants.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills across multi-disciplinary teams.
- Strong written and spoken English proficiency.
- Professional Engineering (PE), Chartered Engineer (CEng), or equivalent certification is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Own global mechanical engineering direction of reference designs to ensure capacity, resilience, and cost-effectiveness.
- Evaluate new technologies and engineering approaches to integrate into standardized designs.
- Support regional teams in implementing and configuring designs based on local infrastructure and customer needs.
- Lead mechanical design processes across internal teams and external design/construction partners.
- Conduct master planning for expansion portfolios, including modeling, cost estimates, and business case inputs.
- Manage external reference design consultants and equipment procurement evaluations.
- Provide technical oversight to ensure compliance with global design standards and project budgets.
