Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, business, or a related discipline.
  • 8+ years of experience in software development engineering, application development, or related technical disciplines, including experience within a clinical laboratory environment.
  • 3+ years of experience leading software engineering teams or enterprise-scale engineering initiatives.
  • 3+ years of experience designing, developing, or overseeing complex enterprise software systems, platforms, or technology environments.
  • 3+ years of experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business objectives into technical strategies and engineering priorities.
  • Strong understanding of clinical laboratory operational workflows, including order-to-report and order-to-bill processes.
  • Expertise in scalable system design, software development lifecycle management, engineering governance, quality practices, and operational performance.
  • Excellent communication and executive-level stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, collaboration, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution of software development engineering strategies that align with organizational business objectives, product priorities, and broader technology goals.
  • Drive engineering excellence, continuous improvement, and consistent delivery of high-quality software and technology solutions.
  • Establish a culture of accountability, quality, transparency, and on-time delivery while ensuring engineering practices comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with product, architecture, infrastructure, and business stakeholders to align engineering roadmaps and initiatives with enterprise priorities.
  • Establish and maintain engineering standards, governance frameworks, and operational models that support scalable, reliable, and high-performing systems.
  • Monitor engineering performance and system availability, identify delivery risks, and implement improvements that increase efficiency and reliability.
  • Build, coach, mentor, and develop high-performing software engineering teams while encouraging knowledge sharing across the organization.
