Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in mechanical design or related engineering roles.
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, tolerance analysis, and engineering calculations.
- Proficiency in CAD software and standard engineering tools.
- Experience with prototype assembly and testing.
- Ability to anticipate and mitigate technical risks.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance and documentation standards.
- Master’s degree in an engineering field may substitute for 2 years of professional experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and lead mechanical designs including concept/detailed designs, BOMs, drawings, calculations, and tolerance analysis.
- Lead the mechanical engineering team on projects, providing technical oversight and performance guidance.
- Define work breakdown structures and ensure technical accuracy of product or system features.
- Track team efficiency to adhere to project schedules and budgets.
- Implement designs using standard engineering principles and analysis tools.
- Assemble, test, and evaluate prototypes for performance and functionality.
- Identify and mitigate design risks and propose resolutions for scope changes.
- Prepare engineering documentation to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Lead and participate in design reviews to ensure quality standards.
