Requirements
- 2-4 years’ experience in economics / finance
- At least two years of experience related to the petrochemical industry (agrochemicals) of India
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or public policy
- Comprehensive experience analysing the industry growth’s impact on the economy, financial reporting, stocks, and investment portfolios
- Proficient understanding of finance, public policy and quantitative analysis
- Understanding of policy and regulatory landscape in the petrochemical industry, with a focus on India
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High degree of technological proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Demonstrated ability to learn new software and applications
- Commitment to IEEFA’s mission to accelerate the transition to a diverse, sustainable, and profitable economy
Responsibilities
- Conduct research on the agrochemicals and textiles sectors within the petrochemical industry
- Conduct research on banks and financial mechanisms of the petrochemical industry
- Conduct horizon scanning for petrochemical industry developments by reviewing articles, annual reports, investor presentations, and industry publications related to the industry
- Prepare forecasts and analysis of trends in the Indian agrochemical and textile sectors within the petrochemical
- Collects economic data from established datasets and other sources, utilizing data collection and data science protocols
- Utilizes statistical analysis and mathematical methodologies to develop data
- Engage with relevant external stakeholders (e.g. regulators, banking institutions, investors, MDB’s) in India and abroad, and represent IEEFA at meetings
- Collaborate with team members and work independently to research and write original, compelling, and professional reports and commentaries on India’s petrochemical industry
- Drafting, formatting and proofing reports, submissions, press releases and presentations
