Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 6+ years of backend, platform, or software engineering experience.
- Strong experience designing and building distributed systems and internal platforms.
- Proficiency in Java, Go, Scala, Rust, or C++.
- Hands-on experience with Kafka, Pulsar, NATS, or other event-driven technologies.
- Strong knowledge of relational, NoSQL, and search databases.
- Experience leading technical projects and collaborating across teams.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and mentoring skills.
- Experience with Kubernetes and platform engineering (preferred).
- Contributions to open-source infrastructure projects (preferred).
- Knowledge of service mesh, workflow orchestration, or platform APIs (preferred).
- Experience with API versioning and backward compatibility (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Design and build foundational platforms and shared services for internal engineering teams.
- Implement high-throughput capabilities including request routing and traffic management.
- Manage data fan-out and caching layers to ensure system performance.
- Build and maintain asynchronous job execution and durable event processing systems.
- Ensure systems handle high traffic volumes with predictable latency and minimal operational toil.
- Lead technical projects and collaborate across multiple engineering teams.
- Provide mentorship to junior team members and maintain thorough documentation.
