Requirements
- Strong frontend foundations in React, TypeScript, and modern web development.
- Experience writing backend logic, building API routes, and connecting third-party integrations.
- Hands-on experience with SEO, analytics, A/B testing, and conversion optimization.
- Ability to measure impact and a motivation to drive growth metrics.
- Experience working in a remote, asynchronous environment.
- Ability to explain technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders.
- Practical experience building AI-powered features and daily usage of AI tools to multiply output.
- Strong interest in content creation, social media, and digital publishing.
- Experience maintaining production-grade web infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Own growth engineering projects end-to-end, from implementing a localization framework to building referral program logic and attribution systems.
- Build features on Buffer's marketing site, including landing pages, interactive tools, and conversion flows to drive user acquisition.
- Develop marketing infrastructure, such as A/B testing frameworks, programmatic page generation for SEO/AEO, and reusable components.
- Drive experimentation and optimization by setting up experiments, validating results, and iterating based on data.
- Maintain the marketing technology stack, including Segment, GTM, Mixpanel, and BigQuery, while optimizing performance and accessibility.
- Participate in on-call rotation and contribute to the overall health and stability of buffer.com.
- Mentor team members through code reviews, pairing, and knowledge sharing regarding growth and marketing engineering patterns.
