Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in design engineering, frontend design, or product design.
- Expert knowledge of Tailwind CSS and modern CSS (Flexbox, Grid, container queries, etc.).
- Professional experience with React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
- Deep understanding of WCAG 2.2 accessibility standards.
- Strong command of web performance optimization and Core Web Vitals.
- Demonstrated ability to build and evolve design systems or component libraries.
- Advanced Figma proficiency (variables, auto layout, component architectures).
- Experience designing data-dense interfaces like dashboards and real-time displays.
- Excellent communication skills for explaining technical and design decisions.
- Experience with geospatial or mapping technologies (e.g., Mapbox, Cesium) is a plus.
- Experience in regulated environments (defense, finance, healthcare) is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement complex, data-rich product interfaces from initial sketches through production.
- Identify and address opportunities to improve features, workflows, and interface usability.
- Contribute to product specifications and design direction through active participation in kickoffs.
- Balance visual quality with accessibility, technical performance, and maintainability.
- Champion WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility standards and web performance best practices.
- Establish design and frontend patterns through audits and code reviews.
- Mentor designers and engineers to improve the team's technical and visual output.
- Collaborate across cross-functional teams to deliver effective user experiences.
