Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, information systems, engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of experience as a business analyst or business systems analyst on enterprise applications.
- Experience managing the full analysis lifecycle independently.
- Proficiency in process modeling (DFD, swim lane, or BPMN) using tools like Visio, Lucid, or Miro.
- Ability to produce and present professional documentation: process maps, user stories, functional specs, and test cases.
- Strong data literacy: comfortable with Excel pivot tables and lookups, reading data models, and understanding entity relationship diagrams.
- Strong business acumen with an understanding of project-based financial metrics like margin, cost, and cash.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging stakeholders from field staff to executive leadership.
- Comfortable using AI tools in analysis and documentation (preferred).
- Experience in construction, specialty trades, or project-based businesses (preferred).
- Experience with Microsoft D365 Finance & Operations or Dynamics AX (preferred).
- Familiarity with Microsoft stack including Power BI, Power Platform, and Fabric (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Build working relationships with process owners and department leaders through discovery workshops.
- Document current-state processes and design to-be processes to improve efficiency.
- Conduct fit-gap analysis against Microsoft D365 F&O and the broader Microsoft platform.
- Write user stories, functional design documents, field-level data mappings, and report specifications.
- Write test cases, coordinate UAT, and manage defect triage for functional acceptance.
- Define business metrics and reporting rules in partnership with developers.
- Create SOPs and job aids, and deliver training to ensure adoption.
- Measure post-deployment success and define subsequent improvement increments.
