Requirements
- Minimum of 6 years of nonprofit development experience.
- Demonstrated track record of securing five- and six-figure foundation and/or government grants.
- Exceptional grant writing and editing skills with the ability to create data-backed narratives.
- Experience building and managing a diversified institutional funding pipeline.
- Working knowledge of grants management, compliance, and expenditure tracking.
- Strong project management skills to handle multiple deadlines.
- Collaborative working style with experience partnering across departments.
- Experience supervising, mentoring, or developing staff.
- Proficiency with CRM/donor databases, Salesforce preferred.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Responsibilities
- Own and grow the foundation and government grants portfolio, targeting $3M+ in annual revenue.
- Develop and execute a year-round grants strategy to diversify the institutional funding base.
- Write, edit, and manage compelling grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and funder reports.
- Build relationships with institutional funders and coordinate executive sponsors for marquee partnerships.
- Partner with program leaders to align proposals with program design, deliverables, and outcomes.
- Oversee grants management, compliance, and expenditure tracking in coordination with Finance.
- Supervise and develop the Development Coordinator, overseeing the grants calendar and CRM management.
- Represent the organization with funders, the Board of Directors, and at sector convenings.
