Requirements
- 3+ years of accounting or audit experience.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple clients and competing priorities simultaneously.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets, including complex formulas and pivot tables.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze complex data.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Capacity to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
- Willingness to challenge the status quo and proactively improve processes.
- Reliable high-speed home internet connection.
- Ability to work core hours from 8:30 PM - 1:30 AM PHT.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit monthly sales tax filings ensuring accurate data and estimated liabilities.
- Monitor and resolve client tax collection variances on a monthly basis.
- Resolve time-critical notices from state sales tax authorities regarding assessments and past due returns.
- Assist with special client projects including audits, amended returns, and updating company information.
- Maintain and update internal documentation, workflows, and account management processes.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients after the onboarding process.
- Engage in continuous professional development to advance understanding of sales tax regulations.
