Requirements
- 5–8 years of HR experience in a hands-on generalist or HR manager role at a startup or scaleup.
- Strong working knowledge of Canada and US employment law basics.
- Proven experience with performance management, including PIPs and terminations.
- Tech-savvy and systems-oriented with experience in HR tools like Rippling, Lattice, and Ashby.
- Experience with onboarding/offboarding processes at scale.
- Experience managing SOC II or similar compliance and HR audit evidence.
- Strong employee relations skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion.
- Comfortable managing basic IT tasks such as Google Workspace administration and device coordination.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Responsibilities
- Execute end-to-end onboarding and offboarding for employees and contractors across the US and Canada.
- Manage benefits administration and compensation reviews, including market benchmarking and annual enrollment.
- Oversee HR data integrity and workflows in Rippling and performance cycles in Lattice.
- Provide coaching to managers on performance expectations, accountability, and PIP development.
- Ensure HR compliance, maintain employee handbooks, and manage SOC II HR security evidence.
- Perform basic IT support tasks, including hardware procurement, device coordination, and access management.
- Coordinate recruiting support tasks such as scheduling and offer letter logistics in Ashby.
