Requirements

  • 5-7+ years of total revenue cycle experience.
  • 2-3+ years of experience managing a team in a billing, RCM, or operations function.
  • Experience with payer contract negotiation and lifecycle management.
  • Experience working across commercial, Medicaid, and self-pay payer types.
  • Deep understanding of billing, denial, and collections practices for different payer types.
  • Proficiency in building and maintaining reports to monitor collection rates, denial trends, and A/R aging.
  • Ability to perform root-cause analysis across credentialing, contracting, and patient eligibility.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex reconciliation issues to various stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of building and scaling operational foundations in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop the RevOps team, setting priorities and coaching on complex cases.
  • Own payer contracting strategy, including rate negotiation, lifecycle management, and contract enforcement.
  • Set the strategy and quality standard for the billing function, ensuring coding integrity and claim accuracy.
  • Lead end-to-end denial management, performing root-cause analysis and driving cross-functional resolution.
  • Manage reconciliation of payer remittances and oversee collections and A/R management.
  • Support the Head of Finance with month-end close deliverables, A/R reporting, and collection risk analysis.
  • Identify and implement process and tooling improvements to support scalability and audit compliance.
