Requirements
- 5+ years of progressive experience in Sales Compensation Administration, Incentive Operations, or a related function.
- Practical expertise in administering, calculating, validating, and troubleshooting sales incentive plans and transaction-crediting logic.
- Hands-on experience with modern Sales Performance Management platforms and CRM systems (CaptivateIQ and Salesforce preferred).
- Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills for building financial models and analyzing large datasets.
- Strong understanding of business drivers, SaaS/B2B revenue models, and incentive structures.
- Demonstrated ability to investigate and resolve complex operational issues using structured problem-solving.
- Excellent communication skills for explaining sensitive financial information.
- Strong relationship-building and consensus-building skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in high-impact financial processes.
- Curiosity about emerging AI technologies and willingness to incorporate them into workflows.
- Certified Sales Compensation Professional (CSCP) designation is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end processing, calculation, validation, and execution of monthly and quarterly variable compensation payouts, commissions, and SPIFFs.
- Manage day-to-day administration and configuration of the Sales Performance Management platform.
- Prepare, issue, and track sales compensation plan agreements, payout statements, and earnings summaries.
- Perform regular audits of payout calculations, transaction crediting, and exception requests.
- Support incentive plan design by developing financial models to evaluate earning mechanics and budget implications.
- Analyze historical payout and performance data to assess plan effectiveness and resolve complex crediting issues.
- Serve as a key operational resource for stakeholders across Revenue, Finance, HR, and Payroll.
- Communicate complex compensation information to employees and managers while building consensus.
- Identify opportunities to improve incentive operations and leverage AI tools for data insights and efficiency.
