Requirements
- 10+ years of experience implementing and managing network defense technologies (firewalls, NAC, IDS/IPS, WAF, proxies).
- 5+ years of experience implementing and managing cloud network security solutions.
- Demonstrated experience implementing Zero Trust and/or SASE architectures.
- Strong expertise in network security, perimeter defense, and cybersecurity risk management.
- Proven people-management experience (hiring, coaching, and team development).
- Experience managing security budgets, vendors, and technology investments.
- Strong ability to manage multiple projects and competing business requirements.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio).
- Professional certifications are preferred (Palo Alto, Cisco, or CISSP).
Responsibilities
- Lead, recruit, develop, and coach a high-performing network security team of up to six associates.
- Manage operational support, including after-hours on-call responsibilities and service reliability.
- Develop and maintain strategic roadmaps for the network security program.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and deployment of security solutions across enterprise environments.
- Manage network security budgets, vendor contracts, and commercial negotiations.
- Collaborate with architecture and engineering teams to develop secure blueprints and technology roadmaps.
