Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in information security, IT compliance, or IT risk.
- Demonstrated ownership of an ISO 27001 program with direct experience in external certification audits.
- Hands-on experience with at least two of: SOC 2, PCI DSS, HIPAA, NIS2, or DORA.
- Technical depth in reading firewall and authentication logs, assessing vulnerabilities, and evaluating OAuth requests.
- Experience with vulnerability management platforms, endpoint detection and response (EDR) tools, and enterprise identity platforms.
- Proven experience leading security incident response through to executive-facing resolution.
- Ability to communicate risk effectively to both engineering teams and executives.
- Ability to hold vendors and stakeholders accountable without direct formal authority.
- Willingness to travel periodically to sites for audit and control validation purposes.
Responsibilities
- Own the IT evidence program across ISO 27001:2022, SOC 1, SOC 2, PCI DSS, and HIPAA for approximately thirteen sites.
- Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors, preparing evidence and owning remediation of findings.
- Manage IT third-party and vendor risk assessments, including maintaining a vendor register and performing periodic reviews.
- Handle customer-facing security due diligence, questionnaires, and audits.
- Maintain the IT risk register and drive remediation efforts to closure.
- Lead vulnerability management including scanning coverage, triage, and remediation escalation.
- Oversee incident response, including containment, investigation, and post-incident reporting.
- Run the security awareness program, including phishing simulations and analysis.
- Manage identity governance, access reviews, and privileged access controls across hybrid environments.
