Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
- 7+ years of experience administering compensation programs, practices, and processes within an organization.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical and data-driven capabilities, including experience with compensation reporting, workforce analytics, market data, and benchmarking.
- Ability to identify meaningful trends, draw sound conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations.
- Strong understanding of compensation principles, including market competitiveness, internal equity, salary structures, pay ranges, incentives, and job evaluation.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong consultative, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality with sensitive information.
- Experience with job architecture, job evaluation, or career framework design (preferred).
- Professional compensation certification (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted compensation advisor by evaluating roles, analyzing market trends, interpreting workforce data, and providing data-driven recommendations.
- Partner with Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, managers, and business leaders on compensation decisions involving base pay, promotions, market adjustments, and incentive awards.
- Help develop, administer, and improve compensation programs that align with business objectives, internal equity, and pay-for-performance principles.
- Support the administration and evolution of salary structures, pay ranges, incentive programs, job descriptions, and job architecture frameworks.
- Participate in compensation surveys, external benchmarking, and market pricing activities.
- Promote consistent job evaluation and leveling across the organization.
- Play an active role in annual compensation planning, including merit increases and incentive planning.
- Develop detailed analyses, reports, dashboards, and presentations to support compensation strategies.
- Ensure compensation programs comply with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- Manage multiple compensation projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
