Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong backend foundation.
- Proven track record of building and operating high-scale production systems.
- Strong proficiency with React and independent experience in frontend/UI development.
- Advanced SQL skills, capable of complex query writing and data logic.
- Proficiency in Python and Flask.
- Solid foundations in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and HTTP/browser-server interaction.
- Experience with TypeScript and modern frontend practices.
- Familiarity with AWS environments and cloud-hosted system operations.
- Strong product mindset with the ability to identify, scope, and prioritize valuable features.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot or Cursor with technical judgment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities for technical decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, deploy, monitor, and maintain high-quality product features across frontend, backend, and data layers.
- Own initiatives end to end, from identifying problems through scoping, implementation, and maintenance.
- Partner with Product and engineering colleagues to translate business needs into practical technical solutions.
- Develop user-facing experiences using React, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using Python and Flask.
- Manage data access and logic using PostgreSQL and advanced SQL.
- Debug complex issues across the full stack and implement durable solutions.
- Mentor other engineers through feedback and technical guidance.
