Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in product, engineering, or technical leadership involving core banking or financial services infrastructure.
- Expert-level understanding of ledger structures, posting models, double-entry accounting, transaction processing, and reconciliation.
- Experience with loan servicing lifecycles, payment application, accruals, and exception handling.
- Knowledge of batch processing, settlement, end-of-day operations, and multi-tenant core banking platforms.
- Experience managing and developing product builders, engineers, or technical product managers.
- Strong technical fluency in database design, distributed systems, ledger architecture, and ACID compliance.
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted product design or development workflows.
- Proven ability to navigate trade-offs between configurability, performance, and operational resilience.
- Knowledge of relevant banking regulatory frameworks including Reg D, Reg CC, Reg DD, Reg Z, TILA, RESPA, and BSA/AML.
- Strong communication and influence skills for operating across technical and business stakeholder groups.
Responsibilities
- Own and execute the Core Banking product roadmap, defining the vision for a modern, configurable, multi-tenant core banking engine.
- Lead and develop teams of Builders, including hiring, coaching, and career development, while establishing high standards for execution.
- Serve as the authoritative subject matter expert on banking logic such as double-entry accounting, posting models, and settlement.
- Guide product and technical decisions around loan servicing lifecycles, payment applications, and end-of-day processing.
- Model and promote AI-first product development practices using AI tools for specification and problem-solving.
- Coordinate across cross-functional teams including engineering, architecture, UX, security, and cloud infrastructure.
- Represent the Core Banking domain in executive planning and client discussions while maintaining accountability for commercial outcomes.
- Ensure platform adherence to regulatory and audit requirements such as Reg D, Reg CC, Reg DD, Reg Z, TILA, RESPA, and BSA/AML.
