Requirements
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, including significant experience building and shipping production applications with Staff-level scope.
- Strong full-stack engineering skills across user interfaces, APIs, services, integrations, data flows, and infrastructure.
- Experience owning complex product features from technical planning through launch and iteration.
- Practical experience building AI-enabled products using LLMs, RAG, agents, and retrieval systems.
- Ability to evaluate multiple AI tools, models, and frameworks with clear understanding of tradeoffs.
- Experience with open-source enterprise products, developer tools, or platform software.
- Strong product judgment with ability to translate user/partner feedback into technical plans.
- Comfort operating independently in ambiguous, fast-changing environments.
- Strong understanding of software quality, security, performance, and reliability.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Own the implementation of Thunderbolt product features from concept through launch, adoption, and iteration.
- Translate product vision, user needs, partner feedback, and enterprise requirements into practical technical plans.
- Build, integrate, test, and ship complete product features across the stack.
- Develop features for AI-powered chat, search, research, workflow automation, administration, and integrations.
- Partner with product, design, engineering, and open-source contributors to clarify requirements and deliver outcomes.
- Collaborate with senior technical leadership to translate product-shaping direction into executable work.
- Instrument features and review usage signals to evaluate adoption, reliability, and value.
- Establish reusable product and engineering patterns to improve future efficiency.
