Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Mathematics, Supply Chain, or a similar field.
- Approximately 1-3 years of professional experience in corporate finance, accounting, or operations.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with large datasets.
- Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite is preferred).
- Strong analytical skills with a high degree of attention to detail and intellectual curiosity.
- Ability to manage concurrent responsibilities and prioritize effectively with an ownership mentality.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong relationship management capabilities.
- Ability to maintain discipline and accountability in a remote work environment.
- Prior experience in an inventory-based industry or CPG is considered a plus.
Responsibilities
- Assist in regular reconciliation of inventory transactions to financial records ensuring accurate costing and valuation.
- Perform weekly analyses of inventory costing to identify anomalies and provide corrective action to accounting and operations teams.
- Lead regular reconciliation of inventory clearing GL accounts to resolve pricing discrepancies and transaction errors.
- Complete preliminary reviews of inventory reconciliation files and provide feedback for month-end close.
- Assist in the monthly inventory upload process and execute cost reporting functions, including journal entry reclasses for sample orders.
- Travel to inventory facilities twice per year to assist in physical counts and review with auditors.
- Update and maintain trackers for open operations and inventory claims.
- Provide SOP and documentation support for new and developing accounting processes.
