Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in software development and AWS cloud-native systems.
- 4+ years of experience managing technical direct reports.
- Proven experience managing professional services engagements and cross-functional projects.
- Deep expertise in building with AWS.
- Proficiency in at least one backend language (Python, Node.js, C#, or TypeScript).
- Familiarity with frontend frameworks (React, Vue, MVC, or .NET).
- Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases (DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
- Strong background in established engineering practices and scalable architectures.
- Experience with API integrations across applications, vendors, and cloud environments.
- Demonstrated ability to build credibility with senior client stakeholders.
- Experience learning and building with AI for productivity and client solutions.
Responsibilities
- Manage a team of 5-8 direct reports including software engineers and architects.
- Perform people-leadership tasks including 1:1 meetings, performance reviews, and career development.
- Lead software development project teams to deliver AI-first, production-ready solutions.
- Own technical requirements gathering, backlog refinement, and architectural decisions.
- Facilitate discovery sessions with client stakeholders to formulate project backlogs.
- Build architecture diagrams to communicate solution designs to engineering teams and clients.
- Act as a hands-on contributor in AI-first software development.
- Create and automate AI-driven testing processes.
- Serve as the senior point of escalation to manage delivery risks and client relationships.
- Collaborate with project managers to navigate complex client organization challenges.
