Requirements
- 8+ years of proven experience in software development and AWS cloud-native systems.
- 4+ years of previous experience managing a team of technical direct reports.
- Experience leading teams through large-scale or highly complex engagements.
- Deep experience and expertise building with AWS.
- Experience managing professional services engagements and cross-functional projects.
- Proficiency in more than one backend language (e.g., Python, Node.js, C#, or TypeScript).
- Familiarity with frontend frameworks such as React, Vue, MVC, or .NET.
- Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases (DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
- Experience with API integrations across applications, vendors, and cloud environments.
- Understanding of modern application architectures including event-based systems, queues, and microservices.
- Demonstrated ability to build credibility and trust with senior client stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience learning and building with AI for productivity and client solutions.
Responsibilities
- Manage a team of 5-8 direct reports including software engineers and architects.
- Perform people-leadership tasks including regular 1:1 meetings, performance reviews, and career development.
- Lead software development project teams to deliver AI-first, production-ready solutions.
- Own technical requirements gathering, backlog refinement, and architectural decision-making.
- Lead discovery sessions with client stakeholders, including senior technical and business leadership.
- Build architecture diagrams to communicate and defend solution designs.
- Apply expertise in AI-first software development as a hands-on contributor.
- Create, automate, and refine multiple levels of AI-driven testing.
- Serve as the senior point of escalation to identify risks, technical roadblocks, or relationship friction.
- Own status reporting and communication with client leadership.
