Requirements
- Strong Linux fundamentals including processes, services, filesystems, and kernel basics.
- Strong Linux networking knowledge including TCP/IP, routing, DNS, load balancers, and firewalls.
- Hands-on Kubernetes experience, ideally beyond managed cloud platforms.
- Strong Docker and containerization expertise.
- Experience in production support for large-scale systems.
- Ability to write and understand Python scripts or similar languages.
- Comfortable reviewing PRs and reading developer code.
- Strong Git proficiency.
- Exceptional written and spoken English.
- Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and structured debugging ability.
Responsibilities
- Support internal customers through high-touch white-glove onboarding and ticketing system responses.
- Act as the first line of engineering support for Kubernetes- and container-related issues.
- Troubleshoot and isolate issues involving Kubernetes workloads, Docker environments, and Linux system behavior.
- Investigate networking issues using tools like tcpdump, ss, and traceroute.
- Write technical tickets, incident summaries, and runbooks while contributing to documentation.
- Collaborate with SRE and Platform teams to escalate issues and propose system improvements.
- Develop tools, scripts, and processes to improve support efficiency.
