Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience working with defaulted commercial loans or in a closely related commercial loan servicing environment.
  • Demonstrated understanding of commercial loan documentation, including interest accruals, taxes, insurance administration, and lender advances.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial loan covenants and covenant compliance.
  • Experience interpreting commercial real estate operating information including rent rolls and income statements.
  • Ability to analyze collateral information, valuation reports, and market data.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications and Adobe products.
  • Experience using loan servicing platforms such as MSP, REALSynergy, Strategy, Enterprise, or similar systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for professional interaction with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet established service-level requirements.
  • Exceptional attention to detail in financial calculations and record-keeping.

Responsibilities

  • Administer day-to-day activities for a portfolio of non-performing commercial and business-purpose mortgage loans.
  • Review loan accounting and verify calculations related to legal demands, advances, postings, and disbursements.
  • Manage inbound borrower and internal correspondence while escalating issues as needed.
  • Review property valuation reports, inspections, operating statements, and rent rolls to support analysis.
  • Monitor property tax and insurance status across assigned collateral.
  • Serve as a primary liaison with external special servicers and manage their requests and instructions.
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors including attorneys, appraisers, and property managers.
  • Identify operational issues and contribute to continuous process improvement.
