Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent; relevant work experience may be considered in place of the educational requirement.
  • 2+ years of customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare-related environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer-service orientation and ability to deliver quality experiences.
  • Advanced multitasking and time-management abilities.
  • Strong attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Ability to learn quickly and retain detailed product and process information.
  • Ability to apply knowledge across multiple systems and platforms.

  • Adaptability and resilience in a rapidly changing healthcare and operational environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality, empathetic inbound customer service to members, resolving questions and concerns related to claims, enrollment, billing, pharmacy, benefits, contracts, and other health plan services.
  • Explain benefits, coverage details, and applicable policies clearly and accurately while ensuring members understand their available options.
  • Apply established service-recovery processes to manage complex or sensitive customer situations and work toward effective resolutions.
  • Deliver consistently high levels of service satisfaction while maintaining accuracy, professionalism, and appropriate documentation.
  • Manage multiple systems, customer interactions, and information sources simultaneously while maintaining efficient time management and attention to detail.
  • Collaborate closely with teammates to resolve customer issues, share knowledge, and contribute to a supportive service environment.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and provide constructive feedback to peers and mentors.
