Requirements
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience with full-stack development expertise
- Demonstrated 0-to-1 architecture experience designing and delivering complex software systems
- Strong knowledge of software architecture and object-oriented design patterns (Gang of Four)
- Deep understanding of performance engineering, profiling, load testing, and bottleneck analysis
- Experience designing highly available, scalable systems and distributed architectures
- Strong understanding of database architecture, data modeling, microservices, and serverless architectures
- Experience with cloud-native technologies including AWS, Lambda, Docker, and Kubernetes
- Strong knowledge of web and application security concepts (CORS, OWASP) and secure software development
- Experience with CI/CD practices, automated testing, and release engineering
- Proven ability to lead architecture discussions and mentor senior engineers
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
Responsibilities
- Define and drive the technical architecture and long-term direction of Keeper’s browser extension platform
- Lead architectural design for complex browser-based features, shared services and cross-platform capabilities
- Design scalable solutions using JavaScript, TypeScript and modern web application technologies
- Guide architecture across Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari and other supported browser environments
- Establish patterns for secure communication between browser extension components, web applications, backend services and native integrations
- Lead technical decisions involving extension lifecycle, background services, content scripts, messaging, storage and browser APIs
- Ensure architectural decisions align with Keeper’s zero-knowledge and zero-trust security principles
- Identify and address performance, memory, reliability and scalability challenges across browser environments
- Lead architecture reviews, design reviews and technical standards across the Browser Extension engineering team
