Requirements
- Strong experience as a full-stack software engineer building production web applications and APIs.
- Proficiency with Ruby on Rails.
- Strong SQL skills, particularly with PostgreSQL.
- Demonstrated architectural judgment for evaluating tradeoffs and modifying shared infrastructure.
- Proven experience working on platform, infrastructure, or technical enablement teams.
- Ability to work independently and drive ambiguous initiatives forward.
- Familiarity with approval workflows, RBAC, identity systems, Auth0, or session management in SaaS environments.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development cycles.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools like Claude Code.
- Experience with StimulusJS, Redis, Sidekiq, or Kubernetes is considered a plus.
Responsibilities
- Own and evolve cross-functional platform systems covering approval workflows, permissions, authentication, and notifications.
- Collaborate with engineers and product managers to develop reliable solutions for shared platform services.
- Lead complex and ambiguous initiatives by breaking them into actionable technical tasks and migration strategies.
- Develop performant, scalable, and secure backend applications and APIs using Ruby on Rails.
- Design, maintain, and optimize data models and SQL queries using PostgreSQL.
- Mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, and contribute to raising engineering quality and standards.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to investigate and resolve production incidents.
