Requirements

  • 7+ years of product marketing or closely related go-to-market experience.
  • Meaningful experience focused on public sector/government technology marketing (B2G).
  • Working knowledge of the FedRAMP authorization process.
  • General familiarity with compliance frameworks such as StateRAMP/GovRAMP and NIST 800-53.
  • Proven ability to independently own strategic programs from conception to completion.
  • Experience influencing cross-functional partners without direct authority.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strongly preferred: Experience managing a direct report or small team.
  • Nice-to-have: Direct experience supporting a company through FedRAMP or StateRAMP/GovRAMP authorization.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience marketing connected devices, hardware-enabled, or physical-operations software.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience building a public sector go-to-market motion from scratch.
  • Nice-to-have: Established relationships within the Carahsoft ecosystem or with public sector aggregators/resellers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead as a player-coach by managing a direct report and building the public sector PMM team's foundation.
  • Develop and evolve Samsara's core narrative for government buyers across federal, state, local, and education segments.
  • Partner cross-functionally to define the federal go-to-market approach, including messaging and enablement.
  • Translate FedRAMP authorization processes and impact levels into clear guidance for sales teams and prospects.
  • Drive product and platform launches by localizing messaging for agency use cases, procurement realities, and compliance.
  • Enable sales and channel teams by building battlecards, objection-handling guides, and RFP/RFI response content.
  • Support competitive intelligence for the public sector to inform differentiated messaging.
  • Represent Samsara at public sector events, partner conferences, and industry forums.
