Requirements
- 5–7 years of accounting experience, with a mix of public and private preferred.
- CPA designation or active CPA candidate status.
- Proven understanding of U.S. GAAP.
- Experience independently owning a full-cycle close.
- Tech proficiency in NetSuite (required) and familiarity with QBO, Ramp, and Airbase.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets skills for data manipulation.
- Experience reviewing and overseeing the work of others, including junior staff or offshore teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to operate autonomously in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement.
Responsibilities
- Own the full-cycle close, including managing the calendar, preparing journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
- Lead the external audit process, acting as the primary point of contact for auditors and managing PBC lists.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements with flux and variance analysis.
- Support critical accounting projects, such as system migrations (Quickbooks to Netsuite) and new product launches.
- Implement and maintain corporate accounting policies, internal controls, and process documentation.
- Drive automation and process improvements to reduce manual work and increase data accuracy.
- Provide quality oversight for work prepared by junior staff and outsourced accounting partners.
- Partner cross-functionally with other departments to support business needs.
