Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Active CPA certification.
- 6–8+ years of progressive corporate accounting experience.
- 4+ years of dedicated ownership over fixed assets, CAPEX, leasehold improvements, capitalized software, and ASC 842 lease accounting.
- Deep technical proficiency in US GAAP, specifically ASC 360, ASC 350-40, and ASC 842.
- Proven track record of designing, documenting, and executing SOX internal controls.
- Hands-on experience with Tier-1 ERP systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP.
- Experience in hardware, consumer technology, software, manufacturing, or capital-intensive industries.
- Experience with specialized fixed asset and lease management modules.
Responsibilities
- Drive end-to-end accounting for property, plant, and equipment, intangibles, construction-in-progress, and leasehold improvements.
- Manage the accounting framework for internal-use software capitalization under ASC 350-40.
- Oversee the global corporate lease accounting portfolio under ASC 842, including ROU asset and liability reconciliations.
- Design and implement agile processes for capital asset discovery and financial reporting.
- Own and execute SOX internal controls and lead periodic physical inventory verification programs.
- Partner with cross-functional teams including IT, Engineering, Facilities, and Supply Chain for capital project tracking.
- Serve as the primary technical contact for external auditors regarding capital asset and lease-related workpapers.
