Requirements
- 8–10+ years of progressive corporate accounting experience.
- At least 3+ years in a people management capacity within a fast-paced environment.
- Active CPA designation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Strong foundational grasp of US GAAP, accrual methodologies, and OPEX reporting.
- Direct experience with lease accounting (ASC 842).
- Expertise in internal control frameworks (COSO / SOX).
- Hands-on experience with Tier-1 ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle).
- Advanced experience with close management platforms (e.g., FloQast).
- Proven track record in high-growth technology, consumer products, hardware, or inventory-intensive manufacturing companies.
- Experience designing, testing, or executing SOX control frameworks.
Responsibilities
- Own day-to-day operational execution of the US corporate general ledger close to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Manage close calendar tracking, step dependencies, and daily sequencing across general ledger workstreams.
- Oversee accrual accounting, lease accounting (ASC 842), and journal entries for debt and equity.
- Perform first-pass and secondary reviews of high-risk journal entries and lead P&L and Balance Sheet variance analyses.
- Execute and document key management controls (ITGCs, transactional controls) in alignment with SOX standards.
- Interface with external auditors, managing PBC request fulfillment and technical walkthroughs.
- Lead, mentor, and upskill a team of corporate accountants to foster technical rigor and operational excellence.
