Requirements
- 6+ years of software engineering experience shipping real products in fast-moving environments.
- Proven success building new products or highly exploratory features (0→1, startups, innovation labs, greenfield).
- Experience working with high ambiguity, defining direction and proposing solutions without complete specs.
- Strong customer empathy and interest in learning directly from users.
- Fluency in full-stack development or strong backend experience with solid product instincts.
- Hands-on experience with Python and Django.
- Hands-on experience with TypeScript and JavaScript.
- Hands-on experience with React.
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL.
- Solid understanding of system design, APIs, performance, and scalable architecture.
- Ability to balance development speed vs. code quality.
- Excellent communication and cross-disciplinary collaboration skills.
Responsibilities
- Create new services, features, and user experiences from scratch, evolving prototypes into scalable systems.
- Transform abstract problem spaces into clear technical and architectural approaches.
- Partner with product and design teams to participate in discovery, sketch solutions, and challenge assumptions.
- Experiment rapidly by building POCs and technical spikes to validate ideas with real customer feedback.
- Influence product direction by providing an engineering-driven perspective on build strategies and tradeoffs.
- Design and build scalable systems, balancing development speed with long-term maintainability.
- Contribute to architectural standards, coding best practices, and mentor other engineers.
- Own product quality end-to-end, maintaining reliability and performance.
