Requirements
- 5+ years of professional accounting experience, including ownership of the month-end close.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong and practical knowledge of US GAAP and US accounting practices.
- Proven experience managing accounting activities across multiple entities or business units.
- Expert-level proficiency with QuickBooks Online.
- Strong Excel skills for financial data, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Hands-on experience with financial reporting, payroll, and reconciliations.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-directed.
- 2–4 years of public accounting or external audit experience preferred.
- CPA license preferred.
Responsibilities
- Own and manage the month-end close process across multiple entities, locations, and business units.
- Manage and review P&L, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and other financial records.
- Perform and review bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations using QuickBooks Online.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with US GAAP and US accounting practices.
- Analyze financial results and investigate discrepancies to flag financial risks.
- Perform and review audit procedures across key accounting areas.
- Test and improve internal controls, accounting policies, and financial processes.
- Support external audits by preparing documentation and maintaining audit-ready records.
- Partner with the VP of Accounting to support financial operations and growth.
