Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in science, business, or related discipline preferred.
- 7+ years of relevant professional experience, including management responsibilities.
- Experience within scientific marketing, communications, healthcare, or related environments.
- Proven experience managing and developing teams, providing coaching and career development.
- Relevant background in promotional medical education, medical communications, medical affairs, or healthcare advertising.
- Ability to quickly understand, retain, and communicate complex scientific and technical concepts.
- Demonstrated client relationship management skills with senior stakeholders.
- Proven business development capabilities including proposal development and presentation creation.
- Strong financial and organizational skills, including experience overseeing budgets and project resources.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and standard business applications.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across departments while working independently.
Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day activities and strategic priorities for an assigned portfolio of client business.
- Establish and maintain strong, trusted relationships with clients, key stakeholders, faculty, and medical associations.
- Oversee project budgets, financial monitoring, reconciliations, and forecasts.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for organic account growth by developing proposals and presenting innovative concepts.
- Hire, train, coach, and mentor account management professionals.
- Assign and manage team workloads, ensuring appropriate staffing and resource allocation.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across internal departments.
- Prepare and communicate updates to senior leadership regarding account activity and financial performance.
