Requirements
- General Counsel or senior in-house experience within drones, unmanned systems, defense electronics, aerospace, or advanced manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of U.S. defense procurement and government contracting rules.
- Familiarity with FOCI mitigation, CFIUS reviews, FCL/CFL, and ITAR/EAR compliance.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.
- Experience building legal functions in fast-scaling technology companies is preferred.
- Experience helping non-U.S. companies entering or expanding into the U.S. market is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Establish the foundational U.S. legal, regulatory, corporate governance, and risk mitigation frameworks.
- Prepare the company to operate as a U.S. government prime contractor and pursue defense-sector opportunities.
- Build strict frameworks for product, data, and personnel flows to align with U.S. national security and export control rules.
- Design baseline templates and review processes for supply chain, subcontracting, and customer agreements.
- Act as the sole initial legal hire for U.S. operations to guide the company through its first phase of growth.
