Requirements
- Law degree from a recognized university.
- 5 years of demonstrated privacy, legal, or compliance experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Familiarity and comfort level with privacy laws and principles, including GDPR.
- Experience working in SaaS or technology.
- Highly organized and efficient working style.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage heavy workflows.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills with a logical approach.
- Strong project management skills to handle processes and timelines.
- IAPP or other privacy certifications are considered assets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide frontline privacy support to business stakeholders across departments like product, sales, marketing, and people.
- Draft privacy and legal policies, notices, and guidance.
- Support Customer Assurance and respond to customer data protection and privacy inquiries.
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial and data protection agreements, including data processing, NDAs, and SaaS agreements.
- Implement and maintain privacy initiatives such as data retention policies, PIAs, data inventories, and vendor controls.
- Identify privacy risks and implement business-minded solutions.
- Support the maintenance of Privacy and Customer Assurance operations tools.
- Research and monitor changes to relevant laws and regulations to ensure program compliance.
