Requirements
- 5 years of demonstrated privacy, legal, or compliance experience or equivalent combination.
- Law degree from a recognized university.
- Familiarity and comfort level with privacy laws and principles, including GDPR.
- Experience working in SaaS or technology.
- Strong project management skills to manage processes and timelines.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with an organized and efficient working style.
- Proactive approach to working with business stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills for conveying thoughts clearly and listening attentively.
- Problem-solving skills with a logical approach to complex issues.
- Nice to have: IAPP or other privacy certifications.
Responsibilities
- Provide frontline privacy support to business stakeholders (product, sales, marketing, etc.).
- Draft privacy and other legal policies, notices, and guidance.
- Support Customer Assurance function and respond to customer data protection and privacy inquiries.
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial and data protection agreements (DPAs, NDAs, SaaS, vendor agreements).
- Collaborate to implement privacy initiatives like data retention policies, PIAs, data inventories, and vendor controls.
- Identify privacy risks and implement business-minded solutions in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of privacy and customer assurance operational tools.
- Provide practical legal guidance on commercial contracts, data protection, and procurement.
- Develop privacy and legal knowledge base and training materials.
